Standard: Chapter 12: Surprises Were Supposed To Make Me Happy, Right?

In her room Joan asked me, "Whats your side?" I thought for a moment then said, "You sound mean but you must have an explanation for giving my lunch spot away and being rude. Right?" Joan opened her mouth to say something but my cellphone rang before she had a chance. It was Marco. "Hello?" I asked. Through the phone he answered, "Oh, hi. Its Marco. Guess what? I have some HUGE news! You have to come home now!" I felt pretty bad. Ricky found some work to do just so Joan and I could talk. We were alone now. But something else came up. "Uh, OK. I`m just going to tell Joan. Bye." I said, yet it sounded like if I was in slow motion. "Great! Bye!" yelled Marco. He sounded very happy. "Hey Joan," I stammered. "I gotta go. Marco has some news to tell me and he says its big. So, uh, bye." "See ya. I`ll call you later." sighed Joan while waving goodbye. I knew she, too, wasn`t so happy about me leaving. Very slowley I got inside the elavator hit the 5 button, and waited. I walked to my room and opened the door. The surprise was amazingly impossible- but it really happened...
