Standard: Chapter 21: Repainted, Replanted, & Perfect
When our plane landed, Marco and I took a Taxi to the farm. It was worse than I thought. The last time I was at the farm Granny`s house was bright red. Now the house was a grayish silver. Back then, when I met Marco 3 years ago, the crops were grown, standing tall and proud over the bright red house. What can dirt do? We had 2 weeks to fix up Granny`s farm. Pretty soon I expected a tumble weed to roll by. Besides Marco and I, the farm was deserted. No one was any where. I had enough sadness, and knew right there I would kick some butt. No one, and I mean NO ONE can take away MY farm. I grabbed a pack of tomato plants and a shovel and angrily walked toward the pile of dirt. Marco just stared at me, standing near the back door to the house. I knew he wanted to run inside. He wanted to stay inside, and not come out until this whole planting thing is over, done with. "Umm...Do you need some help with that?" Marco asked me. I nodded 'no' and kept on weeding. There were a lot of weeds. Finally, all the weeds were pulled and it was time to go inside. The next day was February 27. Only 4 more days! Two days later our whole farm was replanted. Marco painted the farm while I planted. "Do you want it in purple?" he asked me. "No. Red, Granny`s favorite color." I answered. So by March 3 the farm was repainted, replanted, and perfect! At 12:00 PM on March 3 Marco and I were about to have lunch when I heard a knock on the door. "Hello?" I asked a man on the front porch in a black tux. "Are you Anne Vocoshitz?" he asked. "Yeah. Who are you?" I asked. "George Fox, I am here to inspect your farm."
