Standard: Chapter 17: The Sandbags

The first five scenes of the play were amazing! Though there were 16 scenes so anything could happen. I was a nervous wreck! No one told me 'good luck' meant 'bad luck'! I ruined the whole play- but not yet. The play was perfect! It was already scene 16 and nothing had happened. Nikki Lorene was in charge of the curtains- when they go up, down, you know, that kind of stuff. Nikki was a careless 16 year old, and no one had any clue how she got hired to do such a job- especially because it involved sandbags. Well, it was the middle of  scene 16 when we heard a ringing noise. It was Nikki`s boyfriend, calling her on her phone. She picked up and let go of the rope. The sand bags started to fall. I was in the middle of the stage. The first two sandbags landed on the floor. Noone saw the last sandbag fall until... POW! The last sandbag fell on the middle of the stage. I fell. Then everyone saw where the sandbag fell- on my ankle. It hurt so bad, and I started to cry because of the pain. Marco gave me some water, and Joan called an ambulance. The show was closed. The docter told me I broke my ankle, and I had to stay in bed for a few days. I also had to where a cast. I picked a purple one, because that is my favorite color. And even though it sounds horrible, it actually turned out OK!
